On the go again!! Back to the Cotswolds. I will never tire of this beautiful countryside even when the weather is wet and cold!!!
I’m so lucky to be able to stay with my good friends Chris and Pete, who are great walkers, so off we went, braving the elements! First day we walked up to the village of Edge. Edge is a village in the civil parish of Painswick, Gloucestershire, England. The village is situated in an area of the Cotswolds that falls within the Stroud District.
The following day we headed to Cranham, also a village in the Cotswolds. We had a lovely walk followed by a very tasty pub lunch at the Black horse which is set in the picturesque village of Cranham amidst Buckholt & Rough woods and a stones throw away from the Cotswold way, We walked on part of the Cotswold way as you can see from the photos of the sign.
On our final day we went to the lovely town of Cheltenham. Cheltenham is a Regency spa town with its painted stucco facades and intricate ironwork balconies. We had a lovely lunch at the Ivy after pottering around the shops.
A great stay with Chris and Pete.
