A great 2 days spent with my friend Geoff walking in Springbrook National Park one day and walking along Burleigh Heads Beach and through Burleigh Heads National Forest the next day.
Springbrook National Park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World heritage Area and is approximately 100km south of Brisbane. With its kaleidoscope of awe-inspiring waterfalls, serene rainforests and ancient beauty, it is a beautiful place to walk. You also have the chance to stand at the top of one of Australia’s dormant volcanoes.
Our walk on the second day along Miami Beach and Burleigh Heads Beach, and then through Burleigh Heads National Park, was also a beautiful walk. This time along a spectacular shoreline with views back to the Gold Coast. At the other side of Burleigh Heads National Park we walked to Tallebudgera Creek. Great walk except I got lots of blisters due to forgetting my walking shoes!! I won’t do that again…….
